Glazing

We offer a wide range of glazing options, including safety glass, obscured, soundproof, fireproof, wired glass and coloured glass. Our fireproof window (Fireguard) is resistant to fire for at least 30 minutes and is tested to fire resistance class E130 in accordance with the EN13501-2:2003 standard.

Thermal Performance:

We offer a wide range of glazing options from krypton filled triple glazing with mid pane U-values of 0.5 to argon filled Low E double glazing with mid pane U-values of 1.1. The Fireguard glazing has a mid pane U-value of 1.2

Fitting of Glass:

All timber doors and windows come with factory fitted glazing, ensuring high standards of quality control on silicon joints and glazing bead detailing.

Glazing Bars

We offer solid bars, which result in separate panes of glass within the window or door, and offer 26mm simulated bars. We do not recommend the use of glazing bars in triple glazed window as this will reduce the performance.

Simulated bars are formed over a full pane with spacers within the double glazed unit giving an appearance of separate multiple panes. These are very effective in blending in with traditional putty glazed joinery and are often selected for use in Conservation Areas.
